There seems to be a great team spirit at Hull. Are there any jokers in the dressing room?
There certainly is a great team spirit here. It's a big factor behind our success. We were all full of confidence after last season's play-off win and we've carried that into this year with the new players taking part too. As for jokers, Dean Windass is probably the biggest one. He's always doing stupid things. He's not the only one though. The banter at the club is really good.
Phil Brown has taken a lot of the credit for Hull's good start to the season. Does he do things differently to other bosses you've worked with?
He's only the third manager I've worked under but the thing that marks him out is the way he prepares us for individual games. He gets a lot of information about other sides and he knows the way to play against every team. He gives us really detailed information on how to play against our opponents and you know you have to pay attention because it works. He was with Sam Allardyce at Bolton and he's brought a lot of that approach to Hull. It's been a massive help. We analyse games we've played and you see things that went on in the game that you wouldn't normally.
